What! How dare you! Of course not.

That has nothing to do with your investigation inspector.

Oh, you know about that do you. Elizabeth found Vivienne and me embracing. Obviously she wasn't too happy and starting shouting at us both. Vienne and Elizabeth can have the most blazing of rows sometimes - but this was the worst I'd seen. Eventually Vienne stormed out. I tried to talk to Elizabeth and explain, but she wouldn't listen.

I accidentally pulled it off the curtains in the Ballroom. I put it in my pocket - but it must have fallen out as it's not there now.

Elizabeth stormed off and then I went to the Ballroom to find Vivienne.

No, I went straight there to get away from the women.

Most certainly not.

I think it was at another birthday party of a friend of ours - Miss Emily Peach. We were all there that night - including Dr. Black.

Oh that. Well I don't think I need to go into too much detail. I was worried about my stepmother cutting Michael and me off without any money when she found out about our affair. So I ... we came up with an idea to make a little money. All you need to know is that it is not relevant to this case Inspector.

Col. Mustard and I were in there to get some more decorations for the Ballroom. We started embracing when my stepmother burst in. A big arguement followed and I eventually stormed out and went back to the Ballroom.

I threatend Elizabeth with it in the Dining Room. It was still in my hand when I left the room, so I put it down somewhere in the Ball Room.

Elizabeth threatend me to leave Colonel Mustard alone or neither of us would see a penny of my father's money. She said she would overlook my indiscretion if I left him alone. I agreed that I would stay away - though of course I was lying.

So that's what was going on. Green thought there was something wrong with Black. No, I was not blackmailing Dr. Black, I didn't even know he was being blackmailed.

Black has got a very good library - all sorts of old books that you couln't find anywhere else. I was trying to find a book that I was in the middle of reading. A book about ... ancient history.

I remembered I had hidden my book on one of the top shelves and so I tried to stand on a chair to reach it. Unfortunately a screw came loose, so I went to get the Spanner from the kitchen.

When I went in, I found Mrs. White there acting very strangely. She hardly noticed I was there. I took the spanner out of her hand - she looked like she might harm someone with it - plus I needed it for the Library. This brought her round to her senses. She said she was alright - but I wasn't so sure.

I got back to the Library with the Spanner and started mending the chair. Shortly Rev. Green came and asked me for a game of Billiards. We went together to the Billiard Room.

I left it in the Library.

Yes. He seemed very worried about Dr. Black for some reason. He was even worse than normal at Billiards becuase of it.

My dear Inspector, I why on earth would I need to Blackmail Dr. Black. I have plenty of money of my own.

It was a very pretty dagger. I'm sorry, I couldn't help it - I just had to take it. When Blanche wasn't looking I hid it in my pocket. It must have fallen out though as I couldn't find it later.

I found Vivienne and Michael kissing! I couldn't believe it! I had always had my suspicions - but this proved it. We all shouted at each other, Vivienne even threatened me with a candlestick! She then ran out and Michael tried to persuade me that it was nothing and that I should forgive and forget. But I wouldn't listen. I ran out of the room crying - and I don't usually cry.

I went to the Study to talk to David.

I needed something to threaten Vivienne with. I got up from my seat in the study and found that I had liost my dagger. I spotted the Lead Piping on the desk and so took that instead.

I went straight to the Dining Room to find Vivienne.

I told her to keep away from my fiancée otherwise she wouldn't see a penny of my money. She said she would - but I didn't believe her.

Yes, we were together when we heard the awful news.

NO! I knew that there was something wrong though - and I thought that it was something like that. But it definitely was not me. I wouldn't do that to David.

I've know David for many years - since he was a child in fact. He's been acting very out of character recently - I knew something had to be wrong.

No. I decided I had to speak to Black, and guessed he would be in his study.

No. I went to the Conservatory to gather my thoughts.

At first I just picked it up without thinking about it. But then I realised I might need it.

I went back to the Study and found no-one there. I stopped there for a while to consider what I was going to do. I was just coming to a decision when Mrs. Peacock came in crying. I didn't know what to do with her. Luckily Mrs. White came in just after and took care of her.

I went to the Library and asked Peter for a game of Billiards to calm me down. He agreed and we went to the Billiard Room.

I was worried about David, so I went to find him. I looked almost everywhere but couldn't find him. That's when I spotted the door to the cellar stair was open. I looked down inside and ... and that's when I found him.

Dagger? What dagger? Oh, now I remember. I think I almost knelt on one next to Mrs. Peacock. I left it on the floor there.

Blackmail! No, never. I'd know better than that. You know, it's probably the last person you'd suspect. Maybe someone with a lot of money, so you wouldn't think her possible of doing it.

Well, housekeeping doesn't pay very well - Mrs. Peacock keeps a firm hold on her money.

I don't know what came over me. I must have drunk too much wine with Mrs. Peacock.

I went to the study. That's where I found Reverend Green and Mrs. Peacock. She was awfully upset. She looked so angry - I thought she might kill someone.

Dagger? Oh, the one from the lounge? No, I last saw Mrs. Peacock take that. She put it in her pocket. I don't know what she thought she was going to do with it.

Once I'd done all I thought I could for Mrs. Peacock, I left her alone in the study. I went to the Lounge for a lie down. I think I may have fallen asleep.
